Day Ten: Cows on the high pasture

The Feldamsattel had a number of occupied buildings on it. The largest was the summer hut for the farmer who tended the cows around it. He stopped us and invited us to rest and drink something. We bought juice and ate our lunch with him. He was very friendly, and we had a nice chat. When he found out it was Phyllis' birthday, he doffed his hat, bowed and congratulated her. The people of Austria were delightfully friendly.
