In 2008 we returned to Colorado to continue our hike of the Colorado Trail. We planned to start at Spring Creek Trailhead near Lake City, and hike to Molas Pass near Silverton. Unfortunately, this high-elevation start proved too much for us, and we were forced to abondon the CT for another year. Instead, we found excellent day hiking at lower altitudes in northern New Mexico. Below are photos from those hikes in Carson National Forest and Wild Rivers Recreation Area.
